🔲 Mark Your Calendars
Add equipment fitting (last week of May). 🦘Rising Freshmen: plan for parent and player to attend orientation and fitting together.
Reserve the third Wednesday in August for the start of pre-season practice.
Avoid vacations during the last two weeks of August so players can complete the required 12 practices for game eligibility.
Check the team calendar regularly for the latest information.

🔲 Consider Joining a Gridiron Club Committee
Join a Committee and Get Involved! Whether you’re into events, fundraising, or communications, there’s a role for every parent and every schedule—help us make Kang Football even stronger!
Be Part of the Action! Volunteering gives you a behind-the-scenes look at the program, connects you with other fun football families, and helps create a season to remember for all our athletes.
APRIL
🔲 Register for Spring/Summer Football
Ensure your player is fully registered and cleared through LWHS athletics and FinalForms before summer activities. 🦘Rising Freshmen: confirm all forms and physicals are submitted early.
If not playing a spring sport, plan to participate in spring/summer football workouts and complete registration through FinalForms once available.
Purchase: cleats, integrated girdle, and two mouthguards with a faceguard attachment tab.
Plan to participate in the six-week summer strength and conditioning program at LWHS (dates/times announced soon).
🔲 Decide on Optional Parent-Purchased Helmet
Reminder: a district helmet that meets NOCSAE standards is already provided to every player.
Optional: If you choose to purchase your own helmet ($550 cost), buy through www.zeffy.com/en-US/ticketing/2026-lw-football-helmet-parent-purchase-program and submit the required release form by May 1.
AUGUST
🔲 Deadline to Pay Gridiron Club Player Dues
If your family is able, pay the $200 annual Gridiron Club player dues.
If needed, apply for financial aid for player dues.
🔲 Submit Contacts for eTeam Fundraiser

🔲 Sign-up for Game Day roles
